The Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless of Westchester and the Religous Leaders of White Plains sponsored this rally on 10/25/07 to protest Westchester County's decision to close White Plains' only safety net emergency shelter, slash the countywide total of emergency shelter beds from 134 to 44, and compel new "warming centers" to offer only chairs instead of beds.
